My husband and I had been “church-goers” since 1975. We have felt God’s hand of mercy on us as we were in search for the truth. A couple we knew from the Foursquare Church wanted to see revival in the Midwest, so in October 1981, Mark quit his job and we all moved from Rialto to McPherson, KS. By the end of the month our daughter April came down with a high fever. The next day she was as listless as a rag doll, the weeks that followed were filled with many doctor appointments, and severe anxiety. Specialists ran all kinds of tests, without any answers. Our baby April ended up at the Intensive Care Unit. She was blind in one eye, paralyzed on one side, semi comatose and rapidly losing a lot of weight.

One day God gave us a scripture (Eze. 37:14)

“And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.”

Thanksgiving day we got the news that April was dying. Mark & I prayed, “We’re giving April back to you God, if you want to heal her make her completely whole.” The next day she started improving.

In 1984, we moved back to California, anticipating the promise from the scripture we read years ago. As the years went by we grew cold and stopped going to church, then one day God challenged me to start going to church again for the children’s sake. My response was for God to pick the church. In 1997 He sent Liz King into my life and introduced me to Inland Lighthouse and Pastor Booker. Since then my husband Mark, my son Michael, my daughters Michelle and April, and even my Mother-In-Law have prayed through to the Holy Ghost and were baptized in Jesus name.

The night April prayed through, the preacher read EZE. 37:14 and it came to us that the promise finally came. The other day I was looking through a baby “name” book and the accompanying verse that went with “April” was EZE. 37:14. Today we are still trusting that God will “perform it”.
